Terms of Service

Effective October 21, 2026

These terms govern your use of the Royal VA Academy website, workshops and community links. By registering, you agree to them.

1. Who we are

Royal VA Academy is operated by Marie Lewis in Georgia. Contact: hello@royalvaacademy.com.

2. Registration

You do not need an account to book a workshop. Provide your full name, email and phone so Marie can send your workshop details. Admin sign-in is reserved for academy administration.

3. Workshops and refunds

In-person workshops in Lithonia, GA are $49 each, last two hours and meet on Saturdays every other week. Each session holds up to 50 people and has its own topic and date.
Your registration is confirmed after payment clears. Eventbrite attendees may be added by Marie and count toward workshop capacity.
The exact address is private and is emailed after registration. Bring a charged laptop and charger.
Refunds are available up to 7 days before the workshop. Contact Marie at hello@royalvaacademy.com to request a refund.
If Marie cancels or reschedules a workshop, you can choose a full refund or a seat at another date.
Can't make it? You can give your seat to someone else. Email hello@royalvaacademy.com with their name and email before the workshop.
Tickets bought on Eventbrite follow Eventbrite's refund process.
No refunds for missed workshops within 7 days of the date.
Every workshop includes access to the free Royal VA Collective. Joining that online community does not require purchasing a workshop.

4. At the workshop

Please be respectful of everyone in the room. You're responsible for your own laptop and belongings. Photos may be taken during workshops; see our Privacy Policy if you'd rather not be included.

Marie can ask anyone who disrupts the workshop to leave, without a refund.

5. Learning materials

Workshop materials and Collective resources are for your personal use. They are not for resale, redistribution, or use in another training program. Heartbeat manages its own community signup and account terms.

6. Royal VA Collective

The free online community is hosted on Heartbeat. Its live calls meet Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 9:00 AM ET. No harassment, no spam, no pitching members. We may remove content or accounts that break these rules.

7. AI-assisted content

You should know how AI shows up in what we publish and what you build.

Our content. Some blog posts and emails are drafted with AI assistance and reviewed by our team. We stand behind the information either way, but AI-assisted writing can occasionally contain errors. Always verify legal, tax, or financial details with a qualified professional.
Not professional advice. Nothing on this site is legal, tax, financial, or medical advice. Our curriculum is educational.
Your use of AI. You may use AI tools to complete workshop exercises and run your VA business. You are responsible for the accuracy and quality of any AI-assisted work you deliver to clients.
No training on our materials. You may not feed Royal VA Academy learning materials into third-party AI services to train, fine-tune, or create derivative training products.
Your content. Anything you post in the community on Heartbeat or share during a workshop remains yours. By sharing, you give us a limited license to display it within the platform and to use de-identified excerpts to improve the program.

8. Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. By purchasing, you authorize the charge shown at checkout, including applicable taxes and processing fees.

9. Intellectual property

The Royal VA Academy name, brand, curriculum, and original content belong to us. You keep ownership of your own work.

10. Disclaimers

We provide the website and program "as is." We don't guarantee specific income, client wins, or business outcomes. Your results depend on your work.

11. Limitation of liability

To the extent allowed by law, our total liability for any claim related to the program is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

12. Termination

You can leave the Collective through Heartbeat anytime. Workshop booking does not create an academy account. We can suspend participation for serious or repeated violations of these terms, fraud, or chargebacks.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, USA. Disputes will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Henry County, Georgia.

14. Changes

We may update these terms. We'll post the new effective date and, for material changes affecting a booked workshop, notify its attendees.
